Society Protocol Season 3 05
Judas Iscariot
At the MS U.S. branch, the assembly of electromagnetic weapons known as "Angel's Trumpet" was nearly complete.
Because defective units were occasionally produced, a dedicated testing chamber was also constructed.
In a spacious warehouse, resembling a large archery target, multiple circles were drawn, and small antennas were densely packed inside.
One would turn on a smartphone, set the mode, and point the flashlight-shaped antenna connected to the charging port toward the center of the target.
The system would then receive the signal strength for each antenna and display it as a numerical value.
The Angel's Trumpet continued to undergo testing.
Initially, when the operation was executed, a specific electromagnetic wave would be emitted continuously from the start until the smartphone was turned off.
This could be turned on and off by attaching a switch to the flashlight-shaped antenna.
At first, it was a switch that pushed up and down.
There were also switches that turned on and off with a single press,
and even switches that fired when gripped, much like a gas pump at a gas station. People generally preferred switches that were pushed up and down.
Turning it on and off was necessary, and since all the believers on the same side were wearing dedicated protective helmets, there was no friendly fire.
With button-type switches, it took time to find the button when operating it for the first time,
and lever-type switches had the inconvenience of requiring a continuous grip.
Antennas were also gradually being improved.
Initially, because they were high-frequency, they traveled in a straight line no matter what.
However, by improving the antennas and attaching multiple antennas, the radio waves spread out widely when the ring at the front of the antenna was flipped back.
It was similar to choosing a strong stream of water or a wide stream from a shower head. Or it was similar to a sink faucet.
This was because it was difficult to aim the waves directly at the head in urgent situations.
Of course, spreading the waves had the disadvantage of shortening the range.
They made it possible to use it as needed.
And they began improving the protective gear. Helmets were equipment designed to protect one's brain from radio waves, but they could not actually counter modern physical weapons.
So, bulletproof vests made of Kevlar were purchased in large quantities.
The Angel's Trumpet was developed not only for personal use but also as a heavy weapon capable of being carried on cars or motorcycles.
They used a slightly larger battery and increased the power to extend the firing range.
Then, work began to gradually miniaturize the EMP gun.
Initially, it had a shape similar to a bazooka.
As a result of miniaturization, it could be reduced to the size of a machine gun.
Currently, improvement work was underway with the goal of miniaturizing it into a pistol-type form.
A device that would emit an EMP while exploding like a grenade was also being devised, but it had not yet been developed.
This was because using an actual bomb would destroy the circuits simultaneously, reducing the probability of an EMP firing.
Therefore, the concept was to assemble it into a modular system, detonate a very small amount of explosive inside, and then have each module simultaneously fire an EMP; however, whether this was feasible remained uncertain.
It was difficult to instantaneously generate radio waves across all frequency bands with power strong enough to burn out the circuits of electronic devices. Therefore, they were currently conceptualizing a device that uses static electricity to instantaneously generate and concentrate high voltage,
and then fire it when needed.
It was based on the same principle as when static electricity suddenly flows when wearing a sweater and grabbing a car or a metal object.
The MS branch also included believers with combat experience from the military.
They believed that dealing with armed enemies relying solely on electromagnetic weapons was too reckless.
So, they were researching various tactics.
They had to create an environment where electromagnetic weapons could be used, but the enemy could not fire their guns.
Therefore, the first thing they thought of was a smoke grenade.
If a smoke grenade is detonated, the enemy would be unable to see their own forces.
Furthermore, the action of the electromagnetic waves would not be significantly affected by the smoke.
They formed a platoon consisting of five members and began conducting simulations.
One person acts as the reconnaissance team, while the four behind them approach while maintaining vigilance. The tactic was for two soldiers in the front to attack the enemy with radio waves while two soldiers behind threw smoke grenades.
The plan was to immediately approach and fire widely to suppress the enemy in the area.
However, the problem was that training was not easy.
The young men and the older men managed to get by.
However, when the older women underwent perimeter drills, some would giggle and laugh.
Of course, there were also a few women who could subdue the enemy with sheer force.
So, it was decided to appoint those strong female warriors as specialized female trainers and create a separate women's unit.
While their primary role would be to provide support from the rear rather than engaging in direct combat on the front lines,
they needed to reinforce their minimum defensive capabilities to the extent necessary to respond in the event of an enemy raid.
Reverend Jackson watched his congregation train from a distance.
God had given them weapons capable of killing only humans without destroying anything else.
However, the enemy possessed fighter jets, tanks, and missiles.
Furthermore, if they were gathered in one place, there seemed to be a possibility of being wiped out all at once by powerful bombs.
Reverend Jackson intended to launch a guerrilla war.
If he infiltrated the heart of the enemy's territory, they would be unable to use their powerful weapons of mass destruction. Jackson decided to use robots in addition.
Robots are not affected by radio waves that impact the human brain.
A battle between a population of over 8 billion and 1 million people would not be easy.
He devised a system involving radio wave booby traps and autonomous robots that would attack automatically.
However, additional funding was needed.
And above all, a powerful computer was required.
Jackson confided his concerns to Pastor Branson.
Pastor Branson actually had many concerns.
That the operation to massacre humans on Earth would actually begin,
that their greatest enemy would be the SS, to which he had belonged,
and the fact that his father-in-law, who had died a few years ago, was a member of the SS,
and the fact that his daughter was his most beloved wife.
There were various reasons why his children had refused to become members of MS.
Although he had come out of rage because the angel had been killed,
he had no idea that such a powerful weapon could be created.
‘To think it’s come to this because of just one thing like that basketball box.’
Branson continued to feel heartbroken that his actions had become the fuse that led to the annihilation of all humanity.
This was just like Judas Iscariot.
Judas Iscariot is the figure who betrayed Jesus, causing him to be crucified.
That is why the number 13 is disliked in the West, as it carries the meaning of the 13th man.
And Judas, along with Brutus, became synonymous with betrayal.
He had merely brought one of the inventions at random as instructed by an angel, yet he did not know that all of humanity might die.
However, there were various theories regarding the story of Judas.
Jesus had the ability to discern people,
and possessed the ability to predict what actions they would take.
He also had the ability to heal people and performed various miracles. However, the argument was that there was no way he could have been captured due to the betrayal of someone like Judas.
The content of that theory is as follows:
At that time, Jesus was a figure famous only in the land of present-day Israel.
For Jesus' name to spread globally, a sort of martyrdom would have been necessary.
Therefore, he could not entrust this task to his disciples, so he told his friend Judas about this and urged him to betray him.
Considering that Judas later committed suicide, it is possible that he felt guilty after doing as he was told,
or it is possible that he carried it out from the beginning with the intention of dying with Jesus if he died.
We do not know why they did this, but as a result, the only people in the world who do not know the name of Jesus are now
a small number of people living in remote areas in harmony with nature.
Consequently, Judas becomes the catalyst that spreads Jesus' power to the world.
Branson suddenly began to identify himself with Judas, who had contributed to making Jesus a global superstar.
"If things continue like this, all of humanity will die."
Just as if they were killing Jesus.
"But if that is God's will, shouldn't we accept it? Perhaps that is the only way to prevent the annihilation of humanity."
Although they call themselves the "Million Salvation Sect," there seemed to be no possibility that not a single person would die within the organization.
"Then it won't be a million."
"No, if that is God's will, the missing members of the Million Salvation Sect will be filled by other people."
"People living in jungles somewhere in the Amazon or Southeast Asia."
"Or perhaps primitive tribes living in Africa would be the main characters."
"But actually, wouldn't they alone make it a million?"
Pastor Branson suddenly had this thought. It seemed there was no way for humans living in civilization to find and harm those humans who had become isolated from civilization and lived in harmony with nature in the wilderness.
If that were the case, they would survive no matter what war broke out or what disaster struck.
‘Is what God ultimately desires the civilization built by humans?’
Perhaps what God desires is for us to be naked in the Garden of Eden, happily picking and eating fruit.
If so, the current situation—where farming and raising livestock continue even in this prayer retreat while speaking of God's will despite already knowing the conveniences of civilization—might not be what God desires.
‘Does He not simply want us to live a natural life where we slaughter and eat when hungry, sleep when full, and starve to death when there is nothing to eat?’
Pastor Branson suddenly began to have doubts about everything.
This applied to all his own actions and to everyone attempting to wage war in the name of God.
‘What distinguishes humans from animals is their superior intelligence. Yet, the very idea of attacking and neutralizing that brain is a form of divine curse and revenge.’
Suddenly, fear washed over Pastor Branson regarding his own actions.
‘God has not yet forgiven the act of humans eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.’
He trembled with fear. He was afraid that someone might know his thoughts.
He might not have been thinking this way because the effects of the Fruit of Knowledge were still lingering.
However, it seemed there was still time.
They were literally a ragtag bunch, and if he eliminated them before using directed energy weapons,
or rather, if he eliminated specific key factors, everyone would be able to return to their normal lives. If the leadership is eliminated, along with the engineers—including the researchers developing the weapons and the engineers bringing them to reality—nothing will happen.
All believers will receive forgiveness of sins.
If Pastor Jackson carries the cross and sheds blood on behalf of the believers, the sins of all believers will be forgiven.
“Jesus, who bore the cross in place of our sins.”
Pastor Branson raised his voice and began to pray.
It is not Jackson.
It is himself. He will bear the cross, shed his blood, and die in place of the sins of the believers gathered here.
This was the meaning of Jesus's cross.
It meant nailing the ringleader to the cross to forgive the sins of the rebels.
