Society Protocol Season 3 02

Technological Advancement

At Pyramid Lake in Nevada, the U.S. branch of the Million Salvation Sect, they were intensely focused on testing new technology involving modified helmets.

The initiative began with Kim Su-hwan, an antenna engineer from Korea, but subsequently, technicians from all over the world who had flown in after seeing the angel's message joined forces to advance the technology.

Of course, they knew that this could become a weapon capable of harming humans.

They were engaging in these actions because of the angel's message that if things continued this way, all of humanity would perish due to environmental destruction, and not only humans but all life on Earth would become extinct.

They called this act a form of surgery.

Just as one must cut out a tumor if it develops in the body, it was in the same position as a person eventually dying if one continues to carry it along simply because it is part of their own body.

However, all of this was a form of self-rationalization.

It was akin to a war, where they killed others to survive.

If I did not kill, I was destined to die at the hands of the enemy. What grudge could a young American and a young German have held that they would shoot at each other to kill one another right before their eyes?

It was simply the way things were.

That was the plight they each faced.

During World War II, if soldiers like the Soviets did not advance, their officers would shoot them from behind and kill them.

Since they had received a message from God, it was certain that it would be revealed to someone,

and then they would simply be killed by ordinary people.

This, too, was part of the angel's message.

They had to fight the White Army simply because they had been selected for the Blue Army.

This was just like the plot of a drama where lives were at stake in a tug-of-war.

“If we don’t build it as quickly as possible, we don’t know when or how we will end up.”

The enemies must have already realized that they had joined forces and were developing something here.

The outcome of the war depended on speed.

Speed and accuracy. They had to create even more superior weapons at a rapid pace to strike faster than the enemy.

The very first thing they did was gather everyone together to watch the experimental videos.

They tried to avoid watching experiments on humans as much as possible.

Animal experiments were at least less heartbreaking.

Still, the sight of the sheep collapsing in death was pitiful.

When it was announced that the experimental videos would be released, Kim Su-hwan quietly walked out.

He said that he did not need to watch them.

The very first experiment was related to hearing.

They put a helmet on the dog, sized to fit it.

Then, they blew a whistle to the dog to give it food.

It was the same experiment as Pavlov's dog.

The test subject was a Beagle.

The dog responded to the whistle signal and ran toward the food container.

Then, when a signal of a specific frequency was sent from the helmet to the measurement location, the dog could not hear the whistle sound. It did not react even when the flute was blown.

When the switch was turned off and the flute was blown, it reacted immediately to the sound.

It seemed to have a temporary effect, only for the moment the radio waves were being emitted.

Next was a language experiment using humans.

When a specific frequency was emitted, they could not speak properly.

When the radio waves were turned off, they spoke fluently and continuously.

The individual was unaware of it.

The engineers, scientists, programmers, and doctors gathered there watched with considerable curiosity.

What surprised them most was watching the video of the experiment on the frontal lobe.

The test helmet had evolved; specific frequencies were displayed as numbers on the screen, and the color of the helmet at the point of emission changed.

The test helmet was made of white plastic, but lights illuminated depending on the location where the beam was emitted into the brain, and the color changed slightly according to the intensity.

The lowest power was purple, the middle was about green,

and yellow was high intensity, while red was very high.

A reaction usually began at around the green level.

During the frontal lobe test, the front of the helmet lit up in blue.

The test subject began swearing profusely at the camera.

As the intensity was gradually increased and turned green, the subject picked up a chair and threw it against a glass wall.

Fortunately, the glass seemed to be bulletproof. It did not break. As the color changed to yellow, it began punching and kicking towards the camera.

When the color turned red, it repeatedly slammed its head against the bulletproof glass,

and the force became so immense that it felt like its skull was going to shatter.

The experiment was stopped, and the subject only vaguely remembered the details as having been angry.

It did not know the specifics.

The frequencies affecting the frontal lobe and language were nearly identical.

However, conducting aggressive experiments on animals involved slightly lower frequencies.

This was likely because it required penetrating deeper inside the brain rather than just the surface.

A sheep was running around the enclosure.

The test helmet appeared to be operating wirelessly now, rather than via a wire.

In the test video, when the remote control was turned on, the helmet lit up.

The sheep, which had been moving actively, stopped and made a pained expression.

Then it collapsed just like that.

And it died.

In the next video, a similar sheep appeared.

This time, electrodes were attached to the sheep's body.

A monitor displaying heart rate and oxygen saturation appeared as a secondary screen next to the sheep.

The remote control turned on, and the sheep collapsed just like before.

The heart rate continued to rise. However, the oxygen saturation began to drop.

The people watching the video also couldn't understand what was happening.

This was because they thought the sheep was dying because its heart had stopped.

But the heart was beating even faster.

The next video played.

This time, the screen showed a sheep under anesthesia, breathing while on an operating table with its abdomen cut open.

The sheep remained still while under anesthesia.

And it continued to breathe on its own.

As the remote control turned on, the sheep's heart rate began to rise.

Then, the image zoomed in.

The sheep's heart was beating, but its lungs had stopped.

By stimulating the brain with radio waves, the movement of the lungs had been stopped completely.

The next video was shocking.

A person appeared on the screen. It was Kim Su-hwan.

Kim Su-hwan was standing there wearing a helmet.

A wire was suspended from the ceiling, making it appear as if the helmet were hanging in mid-air.

Upon closer inspection, it was evident that if the helmet fell below a certain height, the wire would be severed by a magnet.

It looked just like a MacBook's charging port.

It seemed to be a kind of safety mechanism designed to immediately cut off the power if the helmet fell.

They could see several people coming and going to conduct the experiment.

Everyone seemed to be trying to dissuade him. However, Kim Su-hwan showed a determination to try it himself.

A remote control was attached to his hand as well.

It was a device that operated when held and automatically turned off when his grip loosened.

After testing it by squeezing and releasing it a few times, the switch light flickered on and off.

The experiment began.

Su-hwan momentarily wore a pained expression.

However, perhaps wanting to feel the pain firsthand, he continued to stand there,

and did not throw away the remote control he was holding.

Su-hwan's face became increasingly bloodshot, his heart rate skyrocketed, and his blood pressure shot up.

When they tried to stop the experiment, the Kim Su-hwan on the screen gave an "okay" sign with his right hand—the one not holding the remote—to indicate that he was fine.

Several tens of seconds passed like that.

Su-hwan's left hand gave way, and he dropped the grenade-shaped switch he had been gripping.

He tumbled forward, and the magnetic wire connecting his helmet to the ceiling also fell. A moment later, his heart rate decreased, and Suh-wan began breathing on his own.

Kim Su-hwan lifted his head and looked at the camera.

Foreigners who did not understand Korean could not decipher his lip movements, but it appeared to be some kind of swear word.

Observing that when a specific radio wave acts on the center of the brain, the movement of the lungs responsible for breathing becomes uncontrollable,

the people watching the experiment thought that this would be the ultimate weapon.

In addition, there were videos showing the paralysis of limbs, as well as videos of puppies barking in fear at hallucinations.

However, they no longer registered in their minds.

If a specific radio wave were fired into the air with high power,

all humans affected by it would stop breathing and die.

It felt as if they were replacing Hitler's gas chambers with radio waves.

Watching the experiment, people began to feel a sense of skepticism.

They doubted whether their actions could truly be justified. However, the die has already been cast.

They had now found a way to annihilate humanity and protect themselves.

Their top priority was defensive equipment designed to prevent specific radio waves from affecting their brains.

This was similar to administering vaccines to prevent one's own allies from dying during a war fought with germs.

The helmet was created in just three days.

Because they already knew which frequencies affected the brain,

and they also knew which specific parts were affected.

Therefore, by making electricity flow through a metal mesh helmet like static electricity, they ensured that specific frequencies could not penetrate it.

The principle was relatively simple, and it did not require much power.

They spent time modifying the device to use mobile phone batteries for charging, swapping, and plugging in multiple units.

Then, they began to improve the weapons intended for use on the human body.

This was because it was impossible to put helmets on enemies and shoot those radio waves via remote control.

So, they devised equipment that operated from a distance. They devised a system to emit radio waves from airplanes, helicopters, or large airships and balloons.

They also devised equipment that individuals could carry around and use like a gun.

At the same time, they created a weapon that affected not only the human body but also electronic equipment.

This was the weapon commonly known as an EMP.

The EMP weapon took the shape of a bazooka and was connected to a backpack via a battery and cables.

To prevent it from being damaged by its own EMP, the weapon was shielded with static electricity, similar to a helmet.

In other words, a minute amount of electricity flowed continuously across its surface.

When they fired the EMP at a distant car, the engine shut off and the vehicle ceased to function.

This equipment would affect not only automobiles but also helicopters, airplanes, computers, and all other equipment.

They began installing these devices on their private jets.

They also started searching online for used airplanes used for spraying pesticides.

There was no need for things like guns. However, high-performance guns were already fully prepared in the chapel basement.

But those guns would never be used.

Pastor Jackson believed that creating this amazing weapon in just a few weeks was entirely God's will.

Throughout the demonstration, he offered praise to God for this incredible, miraculous event.

Defeat enemies without physically firing fire or guns.

It was exactly like the General Joshua he had dreamed of since childhood.

General Joshua was the Israelite general who had his soldiers blow trumpets to bring down the walls of the enemy city of Jericho.

The day when this would become reality, not a legend, was right before his eyes.

Pastor Jackson finally realized why he had admired General Joshua since childhood.

He understood that the mission to shatter the enemy's walls with radio frequencies would be accomplished entirely by God's will.
