Society Protocol 16

The New Tribe

The pastors who had decided to form a new tribe centered around Pastor Jackson continued their meeting the following day.

A tribe was a sort of faction.

Unlike ordinary sects that aim merely to act in accordance with the Word of the Bible,

it was a tribe that sought to put God's revelation into action.

Among the pastors, one who interpreted the Bible and preached the Word according to it,

saw the atmosphere unfolding in a way that differed from his faith and voiced his opinion.

“In the Bible, God promised Noah that He would never again directly annihilate humanity. However, what you are saying right now is openly asserting that God does not keep that promise.”

It was clearly written in the Bible that Noah had made such a promise before setting foot on dry land.

Pastor Jackson stood up and shared his thoughts.

“God has clearly made such promises to humanity through the Bible, and I believe in those promises. That is why a new form of faith is needed even more. I did not receive revelation directly. However, listening to the words of the pastor who did receive revelation, I felt that it was God truly coming to us and speaking to us.”

The pastors began to listen attentively to Jackson's words.

Pastor Jackson continued speaking.

“By delivering a message directly to us pastors, who are merely human, doesn't that mean we are telling ourselves to solve our own problems? What do the other pastors think?”

The expressions on the faces of the assembled pastors instantly turned serious.

Pastor Branson looked at Jackson and said.

“If so, are you saying that we must judge ourselves?”

Jackson nodded and continued speaking.

“Pastor Branson, since you heard the voice directly, I believe you understand even more clearly. The fact that He gave this message to you, not just one person, seems to mean that we are being told to take direct action.”

The atmosphere grew even more serious.

“You are saying that if we gather a million believers, He will not judge the rest of humanity directly while leaving only those people behind, but that we are to judge the rest of mankind ourselves with that million? Does that make sense?”

Jackson continued speaking without backing down.

“He promised in the Bible that He would not do it directly, and since He commanded us to gather people through you, doesn't that mean He has given us a definite answer that we must do it with our own hands?”

Some pastors shook their heads, looked up at the ceiling, or offered prayers.

Just then, Pastor Kang, who had come from Korea, spoke up.

“It just occurred to me that the Bible once told Abraham, the father of faith, to kill his only son with his own hands, a son he had finally obtained after growing old. I think that is possible.”

In the Bible, there was a test given to Abraham, a devout believer in God, to prove his faith by killing his only son.

In a sense, this was the most famous, yet most cruel, account in the Bible.

Pastor Jackson's seemingly reckless remarks shifted to an atmosphere where it seemed plausible after Pastor Kang's opinion was raised.

Ultimately, God gave a revelation and promised that He would not do it Himself.

And He commanded Abraham, who had strong faith, to kill the son most precious to him.

If that is the case, then if they were to become Abraham and the people of the world were to become the most precious son,

the statement that He commanded the killing would make sense.

Ultimately, the Bible records that when Abraham drew his knife to actually kill him, God sent out an angel and instructed Abraham to stop, so the terrible event did not actually occur.

However, this time it was a little different. God would not stop.

In the Bible, there was Cain and Abel, who killed their brother.

The story told of Cain, the older brother, killing Abel out of jealousy, who was the younger brother loved by God.

It was not that Abel killed Cain, but that Cain killed Abel, who was loved by God,

and all of humanity was treated as descendants of Cain.

There was no telling if a Cain might exist somewhere.

It was a possibility that they could kill those who were loved by God.

In fact, most of the pastors present here were aware that such an organization currently existed in the world.

They were an organization that worshipped the serpent.

I am talking about that insidious serpent that tempted Adam and Eve to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which God had forbidden.

To say they were an organization that worshipped the serpent—wasn't that already the perfect way to incur God's wrath?

However, even though such an organization was directly influencing the world,

since they were not specifically attacking or blocking their own faith,

even the pastors did not express direct concern.

However, they could not know when they might succumb to the serpent's temptation and corrupt humanity.

In fact, they did not know that the world was already being corrupted by them.

The new tribe decided to use the name Million Saviors, signifying their intention to save a million people.

They decided to use the abbreviation MS.

MS decided to establish its headquarters in Nevada, where Las Vegas is located.

This was because they believed they could save the most people in the place with the most sinners.

They concluded the meeting by deciding not to act rashly, thinking that saving one million people of faith was the first priority, and that they would think about what came after that later, or that God might speak to them again.

Pastor Kang and Pastor Hwang returned to Korea with their congregation, their steps heavy with emotion.

Everything was to proceed centering around Pastor Jackson.

Some pastors thought they might have to let most of their congregations go and go their separate ways to establish a new church.

However, it was unavoidable.

Even if the church to which they had dedicated their entire lives, along with its congregation and everything else, were to vanish in an instant,

everything had to proceed according to God's will.

Jackson openly invited reporters to his church to make an announcement.

The atmosphere felt like a sort of rebellion, as an influential young pastor declared to the media that he was breaking away from conventional Christianity and creating a new tribe.

A significant number of believers withdrew and left Jackson's church.

However, believers with strong faith followed Jackson.

Jackson took only those believers and moved to Nevada.

He liquidated his church, home, and all his assets to establish a new, small church in Nevada.

The church did not have the structure of a traditional church with a room filled with chairs.

They used folding chairs, and when there were no services, the space could be set up like a broadcast studio.

Jackson filmed sermons with the young believers, produced videos, and began uploading them to websites and various social media platforms.

People cursed at them and treated them as a cult.

However, not long after, comments written in a peculiar language began to appear.

Foreigners from all over the world, claiming to have received revelations themselves, began posting comments.

The problem was that they did not have visas to visit the United States.

Jackson gathered the believers and began to ponder the situation.

“First, we must not forget the instruction to keep to our respective places.

I mean the instruction to gather people from our own places and regions.

There is no reason to go out of our way to come to the United States.

How about we let those in the U.S. gather here, and let people from other regions find a place to gather on their own?

And if we are short on funds, how about we all discuss it and provide support?”

He first persuaded the believers who had followed him, and some of them began selling off their personal property.

Then, Jackson's message was conveyed to the American and Korean pastors attending the meeting.

“It seems we will be able to be together with people all over the world who have true faith. It is all thanks to God's grace. Hallelujah, Amen.”

In Korea as well, the efforts of Pastor Kang and Pastor Hwang were becoming a reality.

Although some believers left the church, they neither tried to stop them nor held them back.

On the contrary, new believers began to emerge.

However, some of them were not people engaged in the typical economic activities of the past.

The number of new believers facing economic hardship and physical suffering increased.

They needed a place to belong.

Pastor Hwang decided to expand the prayer retreat in Gangwon-do to create living spaces for people.

Those in Korea began migrating to Gapyeong and Gangwon-do.

A new tribal leader was also selected in Europe.

There were people who had received revelations in various places.

They became aware of each other's existence through the website created by Jackson and scheduled meetings.

There were people in Africa, Central Asia, and, to a limited extent, parts of the Arab world who wished to participate.

Around 40 days after the broadcast began, they realized that nearly a million people had gathered.

Now, the Million Salvation Army could confirm the presence of people in Central and South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Russia.

However, the problem was whether they could truly be certain of the faith of the people gathered in this way.

And they began to ask themselves whether they could be certain that the things they were about to do were indeed the right thing.

As such internal faith and certainty alternated, their faith grew stronger and stronger.

And finally, they came to realize that the world they lived in had become so different from what God had originally created.

All life has its own inherent value.

This is because everything is God's creation, His masterpiece.

However, now all living things exist for the sake of humans.

They are nurtured for humans, and only those creatures necessary for humans are selected to survive.

The rest perished, their seeds drying up completely.

Therefore, nature, which was in balance at the beginning, lost its equilibrium, leading to pollution and ultimately destruction.

Seawater flooded the land that once overflowed with grass, killing all living things.

And when the seawater dried up on the land that had turned into a sea devoid of life, it became a desert of nothing but sand.

Things that should have remained buried underground rose to the surface, carried by the wind,

threatening the lives of living things.

Life forms that lived in nature, surviving day by day by eating what they needed,

have vanished at the hands of humans; they have come to live for humans and die for humans. Animals could not reproduce unless they were domesticated, and grass that did not serve as food was considered a weed and uprooted.

Furthermore, to create fields and farms, the grass was burned, and the creatures living within it lost their habitat and died.

Then one day, a miraculous event occurred to Pastor Jackson and Pastor Hwang.

God came to Pastor Jackson and Pastor Hwang and personally delivered His word to them.

Of course, a select few from among the newly converted Million Salvationists spread across the world,

heard God's word simultaneously.

This fact was due to the fact that those who received the revelation posted the message they received in their own language on the website created by Jackson.

“Jackson. Jackson. I am your God.”

Jackson had always prepared himself in his heart, thinking that a day like this might come someday.

However, when it actually became reality, he was terrified.

“Jackson. Do not be afraid. I love you.”

Jackson knelt down, tears streaming down his face. Just then, a bright light enveloped Jackson.

Jackson could feel a warm love. It was the love given by God.

“Jackson, I tell you that you must make all humans disappear from the earth, except for those who follow me. Will you believe my words and follow me?”

Unlike his usual confident demeanor, Jackson trembled with fear.

“God, my God, how could I possibly harm people? I have absolutely no such ability.”

“Jackson, do not worry. I will send my angel to be your strength. You just need to believe and find a way to protect those who believe as they are told. Otherwise, my children, including you, will be killed by the devils.”

Jackson trembled with fear. He began to wail, shedding tears.

“Do not be afraid. It will not take long.”

As God’s voice departed and the light began to fade little by little, Jackson wiped away his tears, sat down, and began to pray.

“Please grant me the courage and wisdom to accomplish God’s will.”

Jackson felt that now that he had conversed directly with God, he had gained the right to speak his thoughts with a little more confidence.

This was because, until then, he had thought of himself as merely acting timidly, based on the thoughts of other pastors.

Now Jackson vowed that he would become like General Joshua, who broke down the walls of Jericho.
